Elísabet Brynhildardóttir (b. 1983) works in a variety of mediums, most notably drawings and sculptures. Through classical materials she explores our relationship to the artwork and the artistic process whilst contemplating ideas of impermanence, time and material hierarchy. Alongside her artistic practice she is an active member of the artist-run Kling & Bang. Her works have been shown in i8 Gallery, Akureyri Art Museum, Kling & Bang, Skaftfell Center for Visual Arts and The Living Art Museum, amongst other places. Elísabet graduated in 2007 with a BA from The University College for the Creative Arts, UK.

Elísabet lives and works in Reykjavík, Iceland.
